TAKHAT AUR BAGHAWAT
There had been wars for ages between Ottoman Empire and the Persians. All these battles were fought either on the basis of religion or for the sake of their nation’s honor and prestige. These structuring gave birth to TAKHT AUR BAGHAWAT.
In the early years of 18th century when the Turkish caliph Ahmad and Persian king were battling with each other on traditional hostilities; these battles were not only fought in the battlefields but also in their palaces, forests, streets and bazaars. Along with a series of conspiracies and hypocrisies.
The Turkish caliph was not as afraid of the foreign enemies as he was of his local opponents. The biggest threat for him was Patrona’s revolt whose target was Prime Minister Ibrahim and his followers who were more busy with the palace’s conspiracies and luxuries rather than performing their duties. Patrona and his followers wanted the dismissal of the caliph and to hang Ibrahim. This insurgency continued in Sultan Mehmood’s era also, but in a lower rank.
